On October 21, 2004 the author visited LAHAV division of
Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) in Tel Aviv to learn more about current upgrade programmes -
first of all about the MiG-21 2000.

A former Polish MiG-21bis in the upgrade hall. This aircraft was delivered to Uganda in late 2004.

Since last year IAI also offers a comprehensive upgrade of MiG-21UM twin-seaters.

Several former Polish MiG-21bis are in different stages of completion.

... A-4s overhauled and upgraded for both military and civil customers ...

... as well as one of the prototypes of the Lavi project cancelled a few years before.
