| Romania 2002 |
In October 2002 the author together with enthousiasts from several countries had the
opportunity to visit airbases of the Romanian Air Force in Bucharest-Otopeni, Titu, Feteşti, Mihail Kogălniceanu and
Timisoara.
| Bucharest-Otopeni |
Among the aircraft of the Otopeni based transport wing are C-130, An-24 / 26 / 30 and few Mi-8 (seen here).
| Titu-Boteni |
Titu is the home base of the IAR 330 SOCAT, which is equipped with state-of-the-art avionics and new weapons systems.

After their retirement last year all H-5 (Chinese Il-28) are stored at Feteşti.
| Mihail Kogălniceanu |
The MiG-29s based at Mihail Kogălniceanu near did not take off for a couple of months and will probably remain
grounded for some time due to technical problems.
Among the Romanian MiG-29s is one of the 9-13 version (Fulcrum C).
Also operating from Mihail Kogălniceanu: IAR 330.
