For years I assumed that "my" aircraft, MiG-21bis 879, was completely scrapped at the Dresden aircraft works in 1993. As it turned out, this assumption was wrong. On March 26, 2021, I received a message from Jip McTavish, operator of the website www.cold-war-collectables.co.uk, who had discovered pictures of 879 on MiG-21.de.
Jip told me that he had acquired the seat from another British collector, who in turn had bought it in Poland (!). Be that as it may – at least a small part of "my" aircraft has survived. Here are the pictures.
