| Aeromiting Batajnica 2009 |
On September 13, instead of the usual open day with flying display on August 2, Serbian Air Force organized an airshow with international participation.
It was just a short trip for Romanian MiG-21 LanceR B which arrived at Batajnica on Friday coming from its home base Cāmpia Turzii.
MiG-21 was accompanied by a Hercules from Otopeni.
During the training on Saturday weather was much better than during the event on Sunday and sun was shining onto display of MiG-21 LanceR ...
... as well as paradrop by Serbian Air Force An-2 and ...
... formation flights of three PZL M-18 Dromader of JAT.
On Sunday a grey sky and the freshly painted MiG-21M at the gate of the base welcomed the guests.
In static display - as usual - current Serbian inventory was shown: Orao, ...
... the non-operational MiG-21bis in two-tone colour as well as ...
... the sole Serbian MiG-29 twin-seater.
Also on display were anti-tank helicopter SA 342 GAMA, ...
... a G-4 Super Galeb as well as ...
... one Bell 212 and ...
... one Bell 206 from Ministry of Interior's fleet.
Nearby, foreign guests like this Italian Eurofighter were lined up.
Flight programme was opened by parajumpers dropped by this Mi-8.
It was followed by a formations of two MiG-21 and MiG-29 each ...
... as well as three Oraos.
While new Serbian training aircraft Lasta 95 taxied to the static display after its flight display, ...
... unfortunately, the other aircraft shown in flight "disappeared" towards the flightline between the two runways or even - like the MiG-21s - to other side of
the base.
Serbia's defence minister Sutanovac took the chance for public relations.
After formations flights of Serbian aircraft several fighters took off for solo displays, among them the well-known Orao in special colours.
