The fact that the 1997 air day at Brno-Tuřany airfield had become a "festival" in its 1999 edition unfortunately did not lead to an increase in quality – rather the opposite. Above all, the solo MiG-21 display of the 1997 edition was replaced two years later only by a flypast of a pair of Czech Air Force aircraft. Nevertheless, an event with a lot of local colour and few foreign – mostly German – guests remains in memory.
