Hurghada (Egypt) 2007

At his holiday destination (selected not entirely coincidental) on two days in January the author was given the chance to witness flying activities - due to the strict prohibition to photograph from a reasonable distance.

On the first day one MiG-21UM and one F-7B were taxing to the runway ...

... and took off four times.

Each time a high pass over the airfield was made before the aircraft turned to land individually.

While the obviously inexperienced pilots of first day flew cautiously on the second day passes over the runway in pair were made.

Several times C-130s flew in. Beside white coloured aircraft as seen here camouflaged ones were used.
