Croatian Armed Forces Day Karlovac 2008

On May 28, 2008 the Croatian Armed Forces Day was held at NK stadium in Karlovac.

In front of the stadium a static display of weapon systems was shown, among them one of the new Mi-171Sh, ...

... as well as land forces systems like this T-72 aka M-84.

Croatia's president Stjepan Mesić inspected the parading troops.

In the flying display Zlin 242L, AT-802F, PC-9 of Krila Oluje ...

... and again Mi-171Sh were to be seen. MiG-21's absence - according to a pilot due to technical problems - disappointed the spectators.

One of the Highlights of the event was storming of a "highjacked" bus, leaving a lot of scrap and debris.
