Looking back at the aviation events the author attended in the 1990s, the chain of events whose visit can no longer be understood today does not break. This is all the more regrettable as at that time there was still a lot to see of the MiG-21 in Eastern Europe that was already stored or scrapped a few years later. The only plausible explanation for this wrong focus is a lack of information at a time when relevant information was not yet available on the internet. And so on June 27, 1999 the author attended an airshow at Roudnice nad Labem where there was nothing at all of interest for him. At least the Czech MiG-21s could have made a flypast – as in other years – but they did not ...
