In 1994 the author was still travelling to aviation events near and far with a viewfinder camera and obviously – at least the following pictures show this – had difficulty hitting the centre of the subject. Nevertheless, the visit to SIAD 1994 was a great experience, as both Slovak and Czech MiG-21s flew there.
At the event, the Slovak hosts showed both the MiG-21s taken over from Czechoslovak stocks and the newly procured MiG-29s.
On a Slovak Su-25 ...

Souvenir photo of the author in front of a Slovak MiG-21. Several more such pictures have been added since.
The Czech MiG-21MF 7711 of the Delta-F team was in the static display – as previously at Fairford.

The varied flying programme lasted into the evening. The Czech (?) Mi-24 formation seen here is one of the most impressive helicopter displays the author has ever seen – not least because of the noise.
