 | 15th Anniversary of Formation of Croatian Armed Forces Zagreb 2006 |
On May 28, 2006 the Croatian armed forces celebrated their 15th anniversary with a number of large events. Official
celebrations for VIP's took place at NK stadium in Zagreb.
The air force was represented by three MiG-21s which made a fly pass over the stadium - unfortunately very high and
fast.
Public celebrations took place at Jarun sports and recreation area in the outskirts of the city.

Among others a large scale display of military equipment included different types of combat vehicles built by Croatian
companies at the beginning of the war for independence.
A Bell 206 was among the static exhibits ...
... while three more took place in the flying display. Unfortunately at the beginning of the display the weather
became very bad ...
... making sharp pictures of fast flying aircraft impossible. Nevertheless, the displays of the solo aircraft in
special markings and of the three MiG-21 formation were impressive.
Other highlights were the airlift of specail units by this Mi-8MTV as well as ...
... the display of two helicopters of the same type still flying in their attractive green colour schemes.
Five PC-9 of the Krila Oluje marked the end of the air show in the evening.
 | Aeromiting Zagreb 2006 |
On June 24, 2006 Aeromiting Zagreb took place for the sixth time. Like in previous years location of the event was the
Sava dyke close to the city limit.

The display of MiG-21 did not reach the level of that shown in Varadin two weeks
before.
Insted of Krila Oluje only a single PC-9 took part in the flying display.
Some of the participants showed extremely low passes like this PC-6 of the Slowenian Air Force, ...
... a civilian Croatian L-410 and ...
... this Extra 300 already seen before in Varadin.
